We are staying in the small town of Schruns in the Montafon Valley in western Austria, on the border with Switzerland, where we have rented a holiday apartment. This is a family friendly alpine resort, which offers a variety of mountain based activities.
Activities include walking through Alpine meadows and up to summits approaching 3000m, via ferrata both in the valley and on longer mountain routes, and rock climbing either in single pitch klettergarten or longer multi-pitches, There is also the opportunity to stay overnight at one of the many high mountain huts, or undertake a glacier ascent to a 3312m peak. Its up to you to group together with other participants to organise your own activities to make the most of this trip.
