Fancy a weekend escape to the Brecon Beacons? Leave behind the noise of London and trade it for rolling hills, waterfalls, and fresh mountain air! We’ll be basing ourselves at Godre Pentre – which means “end of the village” in Welsh – tucked away in the little village of Ystradfellte.
What’s on offer? Plenty! If you fancy stretching your legs, the famous Waterfall Walk is right on the doorstep, with miles of hiking trails criss-crossing the Brecon Beacons. Climbers can head to Dinas Rock for some quality routes or bouldering, while walkers can enjoy everything from gentle rambles to big days out on the Beacons’ summits.
We’ll be staying in bunk-style accommodation at the hut. The kitchen is fully kitted out, there’s heating, and even a dehumidifier for drying out soggy kit. Prefer to camp? There’s space in the garden too. All this for just £12 for the weekend – bargain!
After a big day out, the New Inn pub is only a short walk away and serves hearty food.
So – waterfalls, climbs, or wild walks – what’s your pick?
