For the August social, we'll be meeting at the Devereaux for an evening of drinks and chats with excellent company. We'll also be hearing a few quick talks from Rockhoppers members about exciting climbing and hiking trips they have been on over the past year. These had been originally planned for the June social but were postponed.

First, Emily will tell us about the experience that she, and a few other Rockhoppers, had when they hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc, an incredible long-distance trail around the Mont Blanc massif in the Alps. Then, Danny will talk about the climbing trip to El Chorro in Spain that he and a group of other Rockhoppers went on last year. El Chorro is one of Europe’s best climbing destinations and in November this year, the club will be heading there for our first trip abroad for a while, so if you’re interested in going and want to learn more, do come along and ask some questions!

The social will start at 7, with the talks at 7:45. Afterwards, we’ll stay on at the pub.

Everyone is welcome: if you’re a new or prospective member, this will be a great way to get a feel for what the club is about.
